Introducing Consumers Mutual,

Michigan's Newest Health Insurance Company 

You have read that as part of PPACA, CMS has loaned large sums of money to new non-profit, consumer governed health insurance companies, called Consumer Operated and Oriented Plans (or CO-OP's).  The idea is to help increase competition in the individual and small business markets.  In Michigan CMS has loaned $72 million to Consumer's Mutual.   

Join us as we welcome back one of our own, Rob Polick to tell us all about this new company. Rob is a veteran of the health insurance market in West Michigan having worked both in the carrier and agent arenas. He now serves as the Director of Network Development for Consumer's but he also corresponds on marketing and agent distribution. He will tell us how Consumer's Mutual was born and what the plan is for Michigan going forward.
